World’s first ever global payroll awards unveiled
The awards are intended to celebrate the hard work and innovation of global payroll professionals, with the deadline for entry at the end of February.
The Global Payroll Association is launching the world’s first ever awards to celebrate the hard work and innovation of professionals involved in the global payroll industry.
The deadline for entry nominations is 26 February 2016 and the awards ceremony itself will take place in the White Tower of the iconic Tower of London in May. Entries to date range from in-house payroll and HR teams to payroll bureaux and software and service providers of all sizes from countries as far flung as the UK, Spain, Mexico and the Philippines.
Billie Eadie, the Global Payroll Association’s marketing manager, says: “Although the payroll industry is lucky enough to have lots of awards, they tend to be very country-specific. But as the global payroll industry continues to grow in stature, we feel it’s important to celebrate innovation and success, whether companies are big or small.”
Another key focus will be on ensuring transparency of decision-making and sharing lessons learned with peers.
Melanie Pizzey, the Association’s CEO, says: “Our awards are completely independent and will be judged by a prestigious panel of impartial judges. The aim is to publish the results along with our reasoning behind why winners are chosen so that everyone can see the rationale and learn from it.”
The main sponsors of the event are human capital management and payroll software and services supplier Frontier Software, and HiFX, which provides global end-to-end payment solutions.
